April 2025 Resident of the Month

Meet Lorraine Anthony!

For the past eight years, Lorraine Anthony has called Traditions of Beavercreek home, and we are thrilled to celebrate her as Traditions' April Resident of the Month! Lorraine chose Traditions of Beavercreek for its warm atmosphere, bright and welcoming dining room, and - most importantly - its proximity to her daughter and church.

Originally from Beaver Falls, PA, Lorraine spent much of her life in Arizona, living in Phoenix, Mesa, and Tempe, among other places. She shared a beautiful 57-year marriage with her late husband, Bruce, and together, they built a loving family with four daughters, 12 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren (with one more on the way!).

Lorraine's passion for creativity shines through her singing, sewing, crocheting, and knitting talents. As a seamstress, she crafted custom costumes for the Music Theater in the summer and Friends University in Wichita, KS, during the winter. Even now, she continues to share her love of music, visiting Beavercreek's Memory Care community every Tuesday to sing with residents—a truly cherished tradition.

When she's not singing or crafting, Lorraine enjoys playing Mexican Train with friends in the Pub and indulging in her favorite meal, Shrimp Scampi. More than anything, she loves the wonderful people - both residents and staff - who make Traditions of Beavercreek feel like home.

"We nominated Lorraine for Traditions' Resident of the Month because she is very involved in our community," said Pebbles Terrill, Traditions of Beavercreek's Community Relations Director. "She leads Sunday morning services in our Chapel, sings in our memory care community every Tuesday, is a member of our resident choir, The Last Chord, and helps lead singing in prayer group every Thursday. Lorraine has a smile that makes everyone feel welcome and at home. She always has a great attitude and a servant's heart, looking for ways to help others."

Lorraine, we are honored to have you as part of the Beavercreek community and are grateful for the joy, kindness, and creativity you bring to those around you!
